Making Sure There Is Enough Disk Space
Audio files, even MP3s, tend to be rather large -- a bit less than 1 MB for each minute of stereo audio. So make sure there is enough disk space on the destination disk.

You will also need enough RAM dedicated to the application. If you have any problems playing or encoding try these tricks:

  • (Macs) Increase the memory allocated to the MP3 Encoder 0.12 program. First highlight the program icon, then through the File menu choose Get Info. In the window that pops up,you can change the Preferred Size of the memory allocation for the program.
  • (PCs) Open the troublesome application. Right-click on the icon for your hard drive and choose Properties. Select Performance and increase the Application Performance for the program.
