Choosing your Bank Number and MIDI Instrument

2 - Beatnik Player instrument Bank number Pick bank number 0, 1, or 2 (the general bank is 0, Special Instruments is 1, and User Instruments is 2, which gets a little deeper). Our example uses bank 1, the Special Instruments bank.

3 - Instrument patch number (Check out the links below for quick-reference screenshots of the Beatnik Player Synth banks.) Looking at this we see that the Beatnik Editor Synth bank 1 corresponds with Beatnik Player's bank 0, and so on in this exercise.

If you chose bank 0 for the instrument bank, these links show the General MIDI instruments 0-63 and 64-128.

If you chose MIDI channel 10 and instrument bank 0, these links show the General MIDI percussion instruments 0-63 and 64-128.

If you chose bank 1, these links show the Special Instruments 0-63 and 64-128.

If you chose MIDI channel 10 and bank 1, these links show the Special Percussion instruments 0-63 and 64-128.

Do not choose bank 2! This is a view of the User Instruments Window. You would have to load your own custom samples into the Beatnik Editor and make your own custom .rmf files to make this choice.
