Adam Powell, CEO and co-founder, is a writer, Web developer, and musician. He has published over 30 articles for Webmonkey and Wired News and designed and produced Web and software interfaces for Wired, Healtheon/WebMD, Hitachi, LEGO, America Online, Greenfield Online, and Logitech.

As an employee at Wired Ventures from 1995-97 he was Production Manager of Webmonkey, Web 101, Netizen, and The Rough Guides. He has continued to write for Webmonkey, penning the eight-part Adam's Multimedia Tutorial as well as two-thirds of the MP3 Package. In 1996 he created Fillet, a popular ezine for lovers of food and wine, and the recipient of numerous awards. During an 18-month stint at Phase Two Strategies, a high-tech public relations firm in San Francisco, Adam was the resident Internet expert, advising and developing for all 16 clients. In 1999 he was the Technical Producer for www.myhealtheon.com and my.webmd.com. He launched www.greenrocket.com in January as an umbrella for an Internet audio community and a consultation firm.

Adam has spoken as a panelist for Jupiter Communications, South by Southwest, North by Northwest, the SF Internet Music Mixer, and Geekapalooza. As a professional musician, he is in his 12th year and plays with Resin.

Jeff Burchell, a UNIX guy and freelance writer, helped develop ClearStation before working with Angry Coffee. He brings with him extensive experience building, maintaining, and managing high-capacity Internet servers and networks. Prior to ClearStation Jeff was HotWired's resident UNIX guru for a number of years and was involved with administering HotBot, still the Net's leading search engine. Prior to that, he developed network troubleshooting and reporting tools for a small company in Maryland. Jeff has built Internet solutions for law firms and defense contractors, and has contributed to the Linux and Apache projects. His writing (usually published under a pseudonym) has appeared in several trade papers and journals, as well as Webmonkey and Wired News.

Todd A. Tate COO and Angry Coffee co-founder, is an audio engineer, and writer.

From 1995-1998 Todd was a co-owner of The Blue Room Studios, a popular San Francisco digital recording studio. Highlights of the large number of clients Todd worked with during that time include:

  • Engineering credit on 1997's Grammy Nominated Record "Ritmo Y Candela - African Crossroads II" by Cuban Percussion legend Carlos "Patato" Valdez
  • Engineered and mixed 12 song original Cuban soundtrack for NY independent film entitled "Rum n Coke." Released in 1999.

People Todd has worked with in his 15 years as an audio engineer include David Tanenbaum, Ray Manzerak, Dan Wyman, Greg Landau, Omar Sosa, Jesus Diaz, Alfredo Reyes, Sr., Orestes Vilato, Keith Terry and Crosspulse, Jojo, The Automator, Jay Sciarra, Jim Dean, Marc Senasac, Stephan Jenkins, Moss, Smitty, Steve Bowman, Jeff Narrel, Mario Flores, Ted302, MUK, Stark Raving Brad, Steve Williams, Sourpuss, Brian Kehoe, Tony Kalife, Celso Alberti, Marqueno Brazil, Fifty Lashes, Creeper Lagoon, Bea Kane, Wally Schnalle, Dan Zihn, Francis Wong, KC Filson, Mr. B, and Eddie Gale.

During his stay at San Jose State University, Todd was a scholarship winner (Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Summer Arts' 86 -- Electronic Music) and a Pacific Coast Collegiate Jazz Festival Performer '86-'90 with honorable mentions.

Todd maintains an expert grasp on the nuances of digital audio for the Internet and professional audio alike.

Matthew Margolin, Angry Coffee's Executive Editor, began writing for computer users in 1991 as a Staff Writer with Interactive Network. He started working on the Web in 1995 when he took a job with Wired Ventures. As Senior Editor at HotWired from 1995-1997, he produced and edited several websites, including Net Surf Central, Net Soup, and Webmonkey (he still works as a Contributing Editor at Webmonkey).

In 1996, he helped start a volunteer Web learning project, the Humboldt Institute of Technology Studies, or HITS, which has since evolved into a non-profit Web design institute integrated into the Southern Humboldt Unified School District. He currently serves as a member of the HITS Advisory Board.

Matt did a stint as a Creative Supervisor for Martin/Williams Advertising's Internet department in Minneapolis in 1997-1998, during which he built sites for 3M, Target, and the World Trade Organization. Then he moved back to the Bay Area, and he has worked as a consultant ever since. Apart from writing for the Web, he's written for steel industry magazines, home-and-garden-style magazines, music magazines, and the Associated Press. He's played guitar since he was a kid, and currently plays guitar for Alternative Tentacles recording artists, Black Kali Ma.

David Aaronson, Executive Producer, has been developing and producing websites for large, corporate clients since 1995. David has an extensive background in managing and creating efficient Web production environments, and hands-on experience with the latest tools of the trade.

David was later given the responsibility of Executive Producer for Healtheon/WebMD Corporation's Member Organizations Initiative.

David holds a B.A. in Afro-American Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Victoria Guinn, Creative Director
Victoria joined the world of ecommerce as Junior Designer of BuyDirect.com and rose to Senior Designer at Beyond.com. Prior to that, she was working for the Big Man as Junior Designer of Microsoft's online arts and entertainment guide, Sidewalk.com.
